basically they continue to ship enjolras with a woman even though he’s a canonically queer man who is NOT interested in women. this takes away his identity as queer and gets rid of representation for people who fall under the umbrella. and, as we all know, queer people hardly get any representation. literally, look at characters on tv/in books/in movies and see the ratio or cishet : queer characters.

and then sometimes they try back up their ship by saying that enjolras is bisexual or pan, which is gross of them because it exploits those sexualities in order for them to ship their shitty ship, because, as we know from the brick, the only sexualities that enjolras can actually fall under are homosexual-homoromantic, asexual-homoromantic, homosexual-aromantic (i’m not sure about that one?), or aromantic-asexual, but that’s reserved for the people who are actually aroace. 

and then enjonine shippers have actually said that their favourite thing about enjonine is ‘the vaginal sex’, which reduces eponine to nothing but an orifice for enjolras to stick his dick into, and that’s misogynistic on the highest levels. (also its cissexist, but we can go into that later)

and then they’ve also said things like ‘where does it say that enjolras like dick?’. and that is cissexist because, hey, not everyone who has a dick is male, and not everyone who is male has a dick. gender =/= genitalia. 

basically enjonine is v v v problematic, and they refuse to acknowlegde that it is and stop their shitty behaviour, even though it hurts real people and contributes to oppression.
